7.9 Drug Administration - How to enter a Se creatinine manually
- On Drug Administration, pathology tests are usually imported electronically into the Clinical Summary at the top of the page.
- In some cases, you may need to manually add a Se creatinine for calculating a dose.
- In this circumstance, in the Clinical Summary, click on Se creatinine in blue font. It is a hyperlink so will open a popup window.
The screenshot below shows Drug Administration before a se creatinine is available. The dose cannot calculate without a weight, height or se creatinine as the clinician has chosen to use the Cockcroft Gault formula to estimate kidney function:
If you have a se creatinine available but it hasn't imported electronically, simply click on 'Se creatinine' in the Clinical Summary and enter the result that's available. If the date entered is within the last 14 days, the dose of Carboplatin will calculate after you save.
Then Save and return to the main page on Drug Administration and your result will display in the Clinical Summary and the dose of Carboplatin will have calculated.
