17.5 Protocol Admin - Copying an existing protocol to edit or add to
If the provided eviQ protocol needs modification for your organisation, it can be copied, then edited before publishing it for use on your patients. In addition, if there is a trial protocol that is based on an eviQ definition but needs other medications or steps added to it, copying an existing protocol is a quick way to reduce the work involved.
Firstly, go to System Administration then click on Protocol Administration in the left-hand menu.
Search for the protocol to copy by name or Protocol ID. If you know the exact System ID, this is a quick way to find a particular version of a protocol.
In the Copy Protocol popup, edit the details to personalise the protocol to your organisation:
Then save the popup to return to Protocol Administration.
The dialogue box will disappear and you will see your new protocol in the list below the protocol you copied.
If you have changed the protocol name you may need to search for it. The list is alpha sorted so it may not be on the page you are currently on.
Click on the protocol name to open up the ‘Edit Protocol’ page.
