Pharmacy Orders
New Container Type: Ecoflac
We have added a new container type of Ecoflac to the drop-down-list for medications visible in Protocol Administration and Pharmacy Orders.
Ordered & received drugs orphaned upon appointment cancellation
There was an issue where:
Medication was ordered
♠︎ Appointment was cancelled
♠︎ Medication arrived and ticked as received
♠︎ Medication did not go to Orphan drugs
This has now been fixed and if the appointment is cancelled after ordering, but it's too late to cancel the order and the medication is received, it will automatically go to Orphans.
Results Pending: Search result now limited to top 200 records
It was brought to our attention that the Results Pending module became very slow whenever there is a large backlog of Unacknowledged results. To increase system performance, we have now limited the module’s search results to the top 200 records. This means that if you are unable to locate the result you are looking for from your initial search, you may need to further refine your search terms.
Prescribed Protocol by Patient report (CZ-2706)
The report release a few months ago was withdrawn to increase the speed and to add some extra options for searching. It's now possible to search for any part of the name of a protocol as well as the Protocol Identifier, patient MRN or name and also by Primary Clinician and Protocol Clinician. It can also be filtered using the headings, by cycles prescribed within a date range including clinical trials and cycles completed. First, search with the fields at the top of the report and click Search. Then you can filter by column headings.
Code Change: Defer, Omit, Cease
To reduce the risk of patient safety event arising from setting defaults, there are now no default options populating on ‘Defer, Omit, Cease’. All unpopulated fields now have validators applied to ensure all fields contain data when saving the record.
You will need to actively decide to recalculate all future cycles or just the current cycle with you defer treatment from the Visit Record.
New Feature: Popup Appointment List in Booking Request (CZ-2616)
There have been three new pop-up icons added to Booking Requests. Icon 1 is a direct link to the patient record. Icon 2 is a detailed list of the patient’s upcoming appointments, including the appointment status. Icon 3 is a list of the patient’s cancelled appointments, including the reason for cancellation.
This is to allow admin and other staff wishing to align resource and clinician appointments greater visibility of upcoming appointments that may benefit from alignment.
You also have a quick link to cancelled appointments for that patient.
Patient Allergies now visible on Medication Record:
A patient’s allergy status , Nil Known, or list of active allergies, are now displayed at the top of the Medication Record form.
Medication Record: Date Unknown
If Date Unknown is ticked when entering a new medication, the date field will now default to blank.
New Data Field on Nursing Assessment form:
A new location option of ‘Bladder’ has now been added to the Nursing Assessment visit form. This option will be auto selected when ‘Intravesical’ is ticked, although users will be able to un-select if required.
Nursing Assessment Changes: Access Type data entry
The Access type of PICC has been changed to CVC on the Nursing Assessment form to avoid confusion. A number of the labels related to CVC have also been updated and a new field added.
Fields that will copy forward include:
♠︎ Date of insertion
♠︎ Length of line at insertion
♠︎ Hub to skin (cm) at insertion
A green pencil icon displays to the right of the fields so they need to be edited if required.
A field that does not copy forward:
♠︎ Today's CVC length (hub to skin)
This is blank on opening so that the nurse can enter the current hub to skin measurement. An information icon displays beside this field which, when hovered over, shows the most recently entered hub to skin measurement saved and the date it was saved.
Changes to Cycle Type and Cycle Number on Edit Protocol and Drug Administration pages (CZ-2222)
The layout of the summary at the top of Edit Protocol and Drug Administration has been 'tidied up' to be consistent and to make it easier to read. The actual content has not changed. See the screenshots below:
Self Complete Initial Screen: Error upon adding allergy
For our AOD users, an issue was identified on the Self Complete Initial Screen visit form which involved an error page being received when trying to add and save a new allergy record. This issue has now been resolved.
VADC reporting
Error in AOD Reporting associated with generating the Statistical Linkage Key for clients of atypical genders has been resolved.
Show In Timeline
A number of the clinical staff requested that the Patient Timeline module is getting clogged up with administrative documents such as scanned National Claim Forms and the like. As of tonight we will be removing non-clinical documents from view in this module starting with the HC21. If you have any document categories that you would like to see also removed from this Clinical Module, please let us know. These documents will continue to be available in Patient Documents.
Advance Care Directive
We have added a flag to the New/Edit Patient page to flag whether a patient has an Advance Care Directive. If yes, this will show in red writing on the Record Summary.
