New report

Referral Count by Referrer Report - see below. We will switch this on for all the sites likely to find it useful - if you cannot see it in your list please let us know.

Some Changes to Other Reports

HCP report - some issues with the July 1 changes have now been resolved
Reminders report - we have added a state filter for our sites with national presence - if you have patients only in a single state or do not wish to filter by state, just leave the filter blank
Toxicity Detail report - we have added visit type as a column

Calendar changes - view resource appts in clinician calendar

Scan Docs

For those sites using scan docs function, we have made some changes to reduce risk in saving data as follows:

Default date has been reverted to date scanned (changed from today's date)
If user attempts to match the content with a patient prior to saving the mandatory fields for a document or a referral, they will be prompted with an error message.
The panel down the left hand side has a new icon to show whether the mandatory fields prior to import have been saved or not - see screenshot below for further detail.

Referrer Duplicate check

To improve quality of referrer data, we have introduced a potential duplicate record warning if the provider number is a match, the first name and surname or (for organisation referrers) if the organisation name is a match to existing. See below.

We also changed the Comments icon on the referrer list to be a speech bubble to make consistent with comments icons elsewhere.

Secure Messaging

EpiSoft has been doing a very large amount of work on our Secure Messaging functions to improve the scalability and robustness of this function. This work has been going on for the past 4 months or so. As we will be co-ordinating the roll-out of these changes with certain secure messaging vendors and need to monitor the changes closely we will be rolling these out into Live in the next week and will be in touch with the sites affected directly on the timing of these changes.

In summary these are:

Ability to send secure messages EpiSoft to EpiSoft via Medical Objects
Ability to receive messages as referral message type and determine from data in the message whether they are a document or referral
Prepopulate as many mandatory fields as possible from the message content (see below).
If the document type is incorrect you can change from a document to a referral as needed (as per scan docs)
Upgrade our message being sent and received to the latest national standard messaging version
Ability to import a CDA document though this format is not recommended as a general rule because it may be quite slow to load in the preview pane (see below)

We have also worked on:

Integration of online directory to get message recipients' addresses - as these Directories are a work in progress in the Live environment, we will be co-ordinating this offering in Live with ADHA and the message vendor community
Ability to acknowledge messages received and notify of issues (and vice versa) - again as this is contingent on capabilities of many other participants, we will be co-ordinating this offering in Live with ADHA and the message vendor community
