Test Order Pop-up Window – Patient Demographics now displayed
When ordering patient tests, the patient’s basic demographic information is now displayed within the pop-up window. These details include first name, surname, D.O.B, primary clinician, Epi ID & MRN
Special Dietary Requirements – Full list of diets now displayed on Edit Patient page
On the Edit Patient page, when a patient answers YES to dietary requirements, EpiSoft users will be able to assign 4 separate dietary requirements, with the ability to select from a comprehensive list.
New feature - Dietary requirements display on Manage Appointments
We’ve developed a section in Edit Patient where the patient’s dietary requirements can be set. Up to four diets can be selected from drop-down lists that then display on the Appointments page with a blue apple icon. If you hover over the apple, you’ll see the diets needed for that patient. It also shows any food allergies that have been recorded in Conditions and Allergies. These food requirements can be printed on the patient list by using the green pdf icon on Manage Appointments.
Manage Appointments will show three different apple colours:
· Blue - dietary requirements have been set in Edit Patient and the patient may or may not have food allergies recorded.
· Orange - Dietary requirements have NOT been set in Edit Patient, but the patient has food allergies recorded.
· Grey - the patient has NO special dietary requirements or food allergies recorded.
· Blank - No dietary requirements have been set in Edit Patient and there are no food allergies recorded.
The diet apple also shows on the Record Summary with hover text to view the food allergies and diets.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
If your organisation already uses software to record the dietary requirements of your patients, this new feature will not integrate with the existing software. In this instance it may be best not to turn on the feature in Organisation Preferences. For those orgs where Episoft has integrated to the PAS we do not recommend turning on this feature as there needs to be one source of truth for patient diets for safety reasons.
The new Special Dietary requirements will also be displayed on the patient’s Record Summary as seen below. Hover over each abbreviation for more details.
Creating or attending appointments in the future
To prevent users from accidentally creating visits in the future or attending future appointments, we've now removed the ability to do this. You won't be able to admit a patient unless the date is today and won't be able to create an ad hoc visit with a date in the future. In the past, this has caused numerous problems with having data recorded on the wrong date and I'm sure will be welcomed by users. The ability to create pre-admissions will remain as previously.
New customer Terms and Conditions User Acknowledgement
Organisation System Administrators can now enable a customisable Terms and Conditions statement displayed to all internal users upon accessing EpiSoft. The T's&C's message and consent checkbox will be displayed to all new users accessing the system for the first time, and will be hidden from view and no longer displayed once acknowledged. If the organisation updates their T's&C's, their users will be required to re-accept the terms.
Issues Resolved: '!' Icon on Messages Tab
It was identified that that the '!' icon displayed on the messages folder tab remained visible when all messages had been viewed and acknowledged. This issue has now been resolved.
Booking Requests: MRO/Infection Alerts now displayed in booking requests
Users can now easily identify patients with MRO/Infection alerts when scheduling visits in Booking Requests.
New warning message displayed upon Document Delete
To avoid the deleting of important documents, we have introduced a new pop-up warning message to alert users prior to deleting the document. The message reads "Are you sure you wish to delete this document".
Issues Resolved: Merging Patient records that have been record shared
For scenarios where two patient records need to be merged, and one of the patient records has been shared with a partner organisation, the merged patient record was no longer shared with the partner organisation. This issue has now been resolved.
Issues Resolved: Diagnostic Test pdf Printout
When creating a new diagnostic test, all additional information entered in the comments section, as well as clinical notes, now appear on the pdf printout.
