UPDATES / NEW FEATURES:
New Tool-Tip for Emergency Contact and NOK definitions:
When epi-me patients hover their cursor over each tool-tip icon, they will be displayed a detailed definition of both Emergency Contact and Next Of Kin
Wording Change - Emergency Contact:
epi-me’s emergency contact questions has been update to now read: “Is this person you Emergency Contact / Person to Notify” . Please see screenshot above.
New free-text field added to Lifestyle and Diet page:
A new free-text field has been added as a sub question under the existing question “Do you have any special dietary needs? This allows us to capture any special dietary requirements that cannot be captured by the existing drop-down-lists.
New feeding method added to the Previous Pregnancies section for Maternity Admissions:
A new feeding method of 'Breast & Bottle is now available for maternity patients when completing the 'Previous Pregnancies' section of epi-me's Maternity eAdmission forms.
New ‘Type Of Deliver’ added to the Previous Pregnancies section for Maternity Admissions:
'Instrumental Birth' has been added as a new 'type of deliver' to the Previous Pregnancies section of epi-me's Maternity Health History forms.
New instructional text added to GP Details section
We have added new instructional text directly below and above the GP lookup field to help patients locate their GP.
New Chemotherapy and Immuno-suppressant medications questions added to the Medications Details page of epi-me’s Health History forms.
TheThe new question "Are you taking any chemotherapy and immuno-suppressant medications?" has been added to the Medications Details section of epi-me Health History form.
Updated wording to the Medication Details section page of epi-me’s Health History form
There have been a few new wording changes made to a number of the questions displayed in the Medication Details section of epi-me's Health History form for Paediatric Patients. These include:
New Wording #1: "Please include all tablets, capsules, puffers, nebulisers, patches, insulin, eye-drops, creams, liquids, vitamins & herbal preparations."
New Wording #2: Removal of the wording 'Not Webster or Dosett packs' as this wording does not apply to paeds patients.
New Wording #3: The New sentence "Include in your answer any medications you have previously mentioned, as well as the does and how often your child takes each medication" has been added to the question "Is your child taking any medications" question
Removal of Religious Visit question
The Religious Visit question is no longer displayed on the Person Details page for all admission types
Gender neutral info text added to epi-me’s Personal Details page passed
New gender neutral text has been added to the Personal Details page which reads "if you would prefer a gender neutral title, we suggest you select 'Patient'."
Updated wording on Admission Type selection page – the age of a paediatric patient has been increased from 14 years to 17 years
Changes to the Paediatric Legal Page questions:
The following 3 questions have been removed from epi-me's Legal Page for Paediatric Admissions:
1. Do you have an Advanced Care Directive?
2. Have you appointed an enduring guardian?
3. Have you appointed a Power Of Attorney?
The new questions displayed include:
Wording Change on page 3 of epi-me’s Health History forms for Paediatric patients – removal of any reference to ‘Cerebral Palsy’
The reference to 'Cerebral Palsy' has now been moved to the correct question "Does your child have a physical disability (eg: Cerebral Palsy)?"
Updated wording of epi-me’s Skin integrity question for Paediatric patients
The reference to 'bruises' has now been added to the question "Any pressure areas, fistula, ulcers, bruisers, broken skin, or reddened due to friction or pressure?"
New Cardiac Alert
We have added a new Cardiac Alert with the pre-admission team. These alerts are visible on the Alert's work list, as well as the Staff Alert email The trigger criteria for this new Alert is::
1.'Yes' to Have you ever had blood clot in your Legs (DVT) or Lungs (PE)?
2. 'Yes' to Palpitations / irregular heart beat, heart murmur, AF?
New trigger criteria for existing Skin Integrity Alert
We have added a few additional trigger questions that now flag the existing Skin Integrity Alert with the pre-admission team. These alerts are visible on the Alert's work list, as well as the Staff Alert email The new criteria is:
1. 'Yes' to "If you have respiratory issues, is your mobility affected by these issues?"
2. 'Yes' to "Do you have mobility issues as a result?"
New trigger criteria for existing Blood Clot alert
We have added a few additional trigger questions that now flag the existing Blood Clot Alert with the pre-admission team. These alerts will be visible on the Alert's work list, as well as the Staff Alert email. The new criteria is:
1. 'Yes' to "Have you had, or currently have, cancer?" - Yes**
2. ''Current' answer to "Is your cancer treatment current or complete"
Changes to Staff Alert Email functionality
There have been some changes made to the scheduling of the Staff Alert email. The Staff Alert email is now sent out based on an Admission Date, to a frequency set by the hospital. This is done in the Events Management module from within the Admin Portal. Only alerts in the status of OPEN will be included in the automated email
SVHA Privacy Collection Statement form filled pdf mapped into webPAS
SVHA's Privacy Collection Statement has now been added to epi-me, and will automatically map into webPAS when an admission has been processed. All patient's will need to provide their mandatory consent to having read and understood the Privacy Collection Statement available at the top of the page.
