2022/02/23 Release Notes - Clinical (Record Summary with Rx quick link, AIR, Summary & new and changed reports)
UPGRADE TO RECORD SUMMARY:
We have redesigned the Record Summary with new tech to speed up the load of the page. We've also changed the layout of the Record Summary to make it easier to read and so that it contains more useful information.
Allergies/ADRs
Instead of a section for Allergies and Conditions, we now have a hyperlink 'Allergies/ADRs' at the top of the Record Summary that takes the user directly to the Allergies and Conditions page.
Conditions is still in a section on the Record Summary as before, and is in the lower right side of the screen.
New Protocol Section (Cancer Specific):
The Protocols section has been upgraded to include all the protocols the patient has received, highlighted in yellow in the screenshot below. We have introduced new columns, including end Date (of last ordered cycle), Cease Date of protocol, Reason for Cease and Total Cycles administered. Users can see at a glance if the patient needs more protocols prescribed and all the lines of therapy the patient has received.
Medications
The Current Medications have now moved to immediately below the Protocols section. It now only contains regular medications and no longer contains protocol meds. There is a quick link on each medication line to print a script. Clicking the Rx icon opens the interim script page where clicking Print, will print the script. This will save the doctors time when printing a script for an existing medication.
For drugs where the Active Ingredient rules have not been applied, a grey Rx will display, with hover text to say the AIP selection must be made before creating a script.
New Timeline Section: We have added a simplified version of the ‘Patient Timeline’ module to the Record Summary page. This list will show a patient’s entire history of Documents, Sent Letters, Referrals and Test Results), including the date each file was saved to the patient record. The heading for each of these is a hyperlink to the Patient Timeline.
Summary Feature from Visit Record now available as a link from Record Summary
On the Visit Record, there is a feature of ‘Summary’, where a typical summary of diagnosis and treatment for an oncology/haematology patient can be recorded. Then it can be used as a data element in letters and added to letter templates.
The Summary can now be viewed and edited directly from the Record Summary by clicking on the link 'Summary'. Each line can be entered and saved, including the date of diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy etc. This forms a neat box of text to be used on progress letters for example. It's also a quick way to see the patient's history.
Rows can be added to the Summary as needed or existing rows can be edited using the green pencil.
Display of Summary on Letters
The Summary can then be used as a data element on Letters, as in the screenshot below:
Australian Immunisation Register
For sites that use our billing system and have clinicians who have valid reasons for accessing the Australian Immunisation Register such as to record new immunisations, this module will be available when we enable your site on the new billing & claiming version.
Registered AIR Providers can record immunisations that patients have had in Australia, or overseas, as well as the ability update existing Immunisation encounters. To record an immunisation record, once you have open the Immunisation menu in the Patient Record:
From here you can:
Planned Catch-up
If a person has not received all of the recommended vaccines from the National Immunisation Program that are appropriate to the patients age, registered AIR providers can record a Planned Immunisation Catch-Up.
Add Immunisation Encounter
Including who performed the immunisation, date and if overseas, details of the vaccine (brand, batch, serial) Some vaccines, including Astra Zeneca and Pfizer, have a lot number instead of a batch number. Enter the lot number when there is no batch number. If you don’t know the batch number, enter ‘not recorded’.
Vaccine History
Registered AIR Providers can view a patient’s entire up-to-date Immunisation history.
Medical Contraindications & Natural Immunity
Registered AIR Providers can record medical exemptions for Immunisations such as
Medical Contraindication/s
Natural Immunity
NB. This will be available once we have enabled your organisation on the new billing system and we will be in touch with the billing orgs separately for this.
New Reports:
Booking Requests report
We have created a new report containing all patients who are currently in Booking Requests. The patients are listed in alphabetical order rather with search filters at the top.
The date range filter can be used to find all patients who need an appointment next week for example. Otherwise, leave the dates blank to see all patients in Booking Requests.
The report can also be grouped using the headings at the top of the columns. Simply drag a column heading to the grey bar at the top and the report will group patients by that heading
e.g. if you drag and drop the Protocol Name heading to the grey bar, the report will list all patients prescribed that protocol.
Report Changes:
Cannulation Report: new column of 'Successful'
At the request of some of our customers, columns have been added to the Cannulation report to show number of attempts, number of successful attempts and total number of attempts to cannulate a patient on one date.
