8/2/16 Minor Release Notes
We are releasing a number of patches to fix issues that have recently been identified. Our next release will include a round of change requests however this release was to patch known issues and to facilitate business continuity:
Patches to drug administration
An issue was identified where the drug administration chart was listing the medications for the day in a different order to the edit protocol page in some circumstances. This issue has been resolved.
If a drug admin chart was printed without first saving the drug administration page, the print out would not contain the calculated dose. This issue has been resolved.
When the auto refresh on the check and sign function was added to the drug admin signature function, a "medication out of date" warning was occurring when it shouldn't have been sometimes. This issue has been resolved.
If a tablet medication is added with amount and frequency and not a prescribed dose, the prescribed dose was defaulting to 0 mg / not given - this has been resolved to enable amount-based medication order without prescribed dose
Patches to edit protocol
If a user had read only access to Episteme (Edit Protocol), the signature icon on the protocol cycles page was not visible - resolved.
In certain circumstances, the Actual Dose was not recalculating on adding the Weight via the Weight link until the page was saved - resolved; will recalculate prior to the page being saved.
Patches to protocol scheduling
An issue was identified with treatment protocol scheduling. Under certain circumstances changing the date of an appointment with a linked medication step was not moving the medication step as expected. This problem has been resolved and all affected records will be identified and rectified
Affecting external PAS users only:
An issue was identified with treatment protocol scheduling, if a patient was admitted on one appointment and the patient had an existing record in booking requests for same day, the booking request status of the new appointment was being by-passed.. This issue has been resolved. All appointments will go through booking requests and if there are 2 inpatient appointments on the same date the status will merge to status of the current inpatient appointment.
Likewise, patients discharged with a cancelled appointment did not update the status of all appointments resulting in the patient status not progressing to discharged.
Patches to pharmacy orders
An issue was identified on the pharmacy orders page printout, the container in the export CSV was not correct if the container selected was not the default container
Changes to MIMS monthly updates have been found to affect previously placed orders and result in some drugs not being visible on Pharmacy Orders that previously would have been. While we work with MIMS on a data link between generic molecule(s) and route of administration, we are putting in place a process to review MIMS updates prior to release to identify any potential.
Patch to tasks
An issue was identified that was causing the tasks on the drug administration page not to display. This issue has been resolved.
Patch to merge function
An issue was identified with the merge functionality. If a patient had been assigned a protocol that was then ceased for reason of "added in error" this would cause an error on patient merge. This issue has been resolved.
Encounter summary patch (users with external PAS only)
The green tick was not displaying on visit list or appointment list when the scheduled process ran because the visits were set to completed only and not reviewed. Visits are now automatically set to reviewed. This will result in past visits being locked down from editing unless the 'reviewed' status is reversed.
Reports
A new column has been added to the 'Appointment List CSV' export called 'External EpiSoft ID'. This is for organisations that use an external episode ID.
A new report has been added. It is a PDF report called 'Drug Administration Charts by Date'. The report prints out the drug administration charts for a given date defaulting to tomorrow to enable paper-based charting in the event of system failure. If there are a number of patients booked for the requested date, this report could take some time to run. It will also print previously administered drug charts in that cycle for that patient.
Clinician Preferences
The issue with the clinician preferences page issue where users with organisation-wide access could not update the preferred resource location has been resolved.
