Introduce show / hide configuration for the COVID test questions on the Preadmission COVID Screening Form
A Form Configuration for the Preadmission COVID Screening page has been introduced called 'INCLUDE_COVID_TEST_QUESTIONS'.
This allows healthcare providers to show / hide the questions about the patient's current COVID-19 Test where it is no longer a statutory requirement for admission.

This allows healthcare providers to make the questions about the patient's current COVID-19 test mandatory (or not).

A Form Configuration for the Preadmission COVID Screening page has been introduced called 'INCLUDE_COVID_VACCINATION_QUESTIONS'.
This allows healthcare providers to show / hide the questions about the patient's COVID-19 vaccination history where it is no longer relevant to their admission.

A Form Configuration for the Preadmission COVID Screening page has been introduced called 'COVID_VACCINATION_QUESTIONS_MANDATORY'.
This allows healthcare providers to make the questions about the patient's COVID-19 vaccination history mandatory (or not).
Minor wording changes to COVID vaccination questions on the Preadmission COVID Screening Form
Change the second vaccination question wording FROM: 'Have you had a second/subsequent COVID-19 vaccination? *' TO 'Have you had a second COVID-19 vaccination? *'
Change the third/booster vaccination question wording FROM: 'Have you had a booster COVID-19 vaccination? *' TO 'Have you had a third COVID-19 vaccination? *'
Broadened criteria for the existing 'Infection Risk' alert
In addition to a 'Yes' response to any question on the Infection Screening page of the patient's Health History, unvaccinated patients (either wholly or partially) as indicated by the Preadmission COVID Screening Form will also trigger the 'Infection Risk' clinical alert.
The relevant questions on the Preadmission COVID Screening page are:
1. Have you had a COVID-19 vaccination of any kind?
2. Have you had a second/subsequent COVID-19 vaccination?
A 'No' response to either will now trigger the alert.
Broadened criteria for the existing 'COVID' alert
In addition to the other positive criteria for this COVID alert described here, unvaccinated patients (either wholly or partially) who are older than 5 of years of age will also trigger the COVID alert.
The relevant questions on the Preadmission COVID Screening page are:
1. Have you had a COVID-19 vaccination of any kind?
2. Have you had a second/subsequent COVID-19 vaccination?
A 'No' response to either will now trigger the alert if the patient is 5 years or older.
Changed page and section labels of the second page on the Preadmission COVID Screening Form
This refers to the questions about the patient's recent COVID-19 test which was previously required for their admission, but has now been made optional in line with recent changes to the Victorian screening guidelines.
The two sections have been re-labelled as follows:
First section about the patient's statutory preadmission COVID-19 test result is now called 'COVID-19 Test Details (OPTIONAL)
Second section for the upload of the test result is now called 'Upload COVID-19 Test Result (OPTIONAL).
XML extracts to the Patient Administration System for the Preadmission COVID Screening Form
On submission of the Preadmission COVID Screening Form, several XML documents are now sent to the Patient Administration System (PAS). These have initially been configured for one hospital customer's instance of webPAS.
The XML extracts include:
1. FollowUpPreadmitCOVIDScreening XML for the Preadmission COVID Screening first page questions
2. Document XML containing the epi-me generated Pre-Admission Infection Screening Follow-Up Form PDF
3. DocumentUploadAndSubmit XML for the Document Upload & Submit second section questions for Your Current COVID-19 Test questions which are displayed IF NOT answered on first section
4. Document XML containing the Uploaded Document on the Document Upload & Submit second section (PDF, PNG, JPG).
An episode ID from PAS is required to be associated with the eAdmission before these XMLs are exported.
