System Performance Improvements
EpiSoft has updated a number of areas of the system to boost overall performance by placing less load on the database.
These are dropdown lists used on the Edit Patient page and elsewhere are now coming from a cache
Clinician / User preferences for Appointment Clinicians to tick on Appointment Management as well as Primary Clinician user preferences are now coming from a cache
We have also undertaken major changes to Booking Requests page to improve the database aspects of performance of this page.
Most users should notice a significant discernable difference in opening Booking Request pages. There is a downside to the Booking Request enhancement. We found that about 40% of the time taken to open the page was a result of the system trying to guess which resource to allocate (when a resource appointment).
Hence the Booking Request page will now default to Chair 1 (or the name of the first resource in the list). You can use the availability or click calendar to identify the best resource.
New Report
We have a new report - Inpatient ATSI Status (in the Inpatient Statistics category) of reports. This will be enabled for all EpiSoft customers that treat inpatients.
