PATIENT PORTAL
Inactive GPs and Referring Drs were copying forward to future eAdmissions (EM-5578)
This relates to the GP Search function, which is only active if the GP_DETAILS_INCLUDE_SEARCH Form Configuration is TRUE. It also affects Referring Dr selection which is only visible if GP_DETAILS_INCLUDE_OTHER_REFERRER is TRUE.
Previously, inactive GPs were copying forward which meant that inactive GP information could have been sent to the healthcare provider's Patient Administration System.
We now run a check on the validity of the GP before copying it forward. Patients who have previously submitted a GP who is now inactive will now need to add a different GP on their next eAdmission.
