2024/03/27 Episoft Patch Release Notes - Clinical
Dose Units added to the drop-down list for prescribing
As some common drugs don't have units available in Episoft that would be useful to have e.g. a multi-active tablet, we have added more units to reduce the extent of amount based dosing.
This is so that Episoft is prepared for the enhancement of decision-support and will also allow the percentage of the recommended dose to display for drugs where currently that function is not possible, i.e. amount-based doses such as '2 tablets'. We've added some new dose units to the drop-down list on Edit Protocol, Drug Administration and Patient Protocol List.
The new units include:
ªTablet
ªCapsule
ªTeaspoon(s)
ªDrop(s)
ªPuff(s)
ªPess
ªSupp
It is intended that going forward, users will use the prescribed dose and units fields rather than the Amount/Volume field for prescribing.
