NEW FEATURES
Please contact help@episoft.com.au if you would like any of these features activated in your epi-me portal.
Form Configuration to make the address of Nexts of Kin and Other Emergency Contact Optional (EM-1758)
A change was made at the request of several customers to make the addresses of the patient's Next of Kins or other emergency contact, optional. This
IFC and Payments Report Enhancement (EM-6544 - HelpDesk ticket # 33132)
Episoft have added a filter and column of ‘Payment Date’ on the IFC and Payment details report to allow Admin Portal Users to search the date the patient has paid their Gap or had a token captured against an eAdmission rather than by their admission date. This improves the staff users' ability to report on and track patient payments.
Patient friendly relabel of the Impairment of Vision question (EM-6611 - Helpdesk #33173)
This was a request from an epi-me customer that was agreed as a good general enhancement for all customers and so was made across the portal for all hospital customers on the Lifestyle and Diet page, whereby patients were confused as to what exactly constituted an impairment of vision. The wording of the question has been amended from 'Do you have impairment of vision ?*' to Do you have impairment of vision (including glasses or contact lenses) ? *'. This change was made to ensure patients having treatment and used glasses or contact lenses had the opportunity to inform the hospital, which may impact their admission generally and could impact clinical preparations during surgery (particularly for patients with contact lenses).
Relabel of primary Medications question using extended Medications question wording on all forms (EM-6613 and EM-7330 Helpdesk #33175)
For hospital users who have the extended wording enabled for the primary medications question(governed by setting HISTORY_MEDS_MEDICATION_QUESTION_EXTENDED_WORDING to True), a change was made it make it clearer to patients what constitutes a relevant medication in their response. The new wording of the main medications question is 'Are you taking any prescription or non-prescription medications, including tablets, capsules, puffers, nebulisers, patches, insulin, eye drops, vitamins, minerals, herbal remedies and infusions (including vitamin infusions)? Include in your answer any medications you have previously mentioned, as well as the dose and how often you take each medication *' . This change was made to all form types.
Alerts Worklist - Allow multiple alerts to be selected using a checkbox drop-down (EM-6658 - Helpdesk #33177)
At the request of one of our customers, Episoft have configured the ability for admin/staff portal users to select multiple alerts using the alerts worklist filters. The option was aimed at making the Alerts Worklist more user-friendly for individual clinicians to track related subgroups of Alert Types for specific procedures eg. Diabetics and Polypharmacy.
The change allows users to select more than one or all of any of the alerts to which they are subscribed for their role group via a checkbox selection.
New Oral Health section (EM-6706 - Helpdesk ticket #33240 and Helpdesk ticket #33365)
This change was requested in response to an Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care recommendation to ensure hospitals are reviewing patients' oral hygiene conditions prior to admission. As such, EpiSoft have added a new form configuration labelled HISTORY_LIFESTYLE_INCLUDE_ORAL_HEALTH_SECTION and HISTORY_LIFESTYLE_INCLUDE_ORAL_HEALTH_SECTION_PAEDS for the Adult and Paediatric Lifestyle & Diet pages, respectively. When TRUE, these display the following mandatory Yes / No questions in a new section labelled 'Oral Health':
Maternity Appointments - Ability for staff to set the earliest a patient can book a Preadmission clinic Appointment by Facility (EM-6746 - Helpdesk ticket #22090)
Previously, the epi-me Maternity appointments module set the number of weeks prior to expected date of admission/delivery that patient could book their initial appointment arbitrarily to 8 weeks. It can now be changed by facility. This is done via request to Episoft, including to our helpdesk: help@episoft.com.au.
Mental Health forms - Add a 'time of comment' stamp to Mental health comments on the Mental Health assessment PDF (EM-7202 - Helpdesk ticket # 33330)
A change has been made at the request of a customer using the Mental health forms to add a 'time of comment' stamp to comments added by the mental health assessors and intake teams on the Mental health screening page and which appear on the Mental Health assessment PDF. It currently displays the date of their comment but given there may be multiple comments on the same day, a 'time of comment' stamp has been added.
Additional Diabetes Management tickbox with Specify field - (EM-7205 - Helpdesk ticket # 33307)
Episoft have added an additional tickbox to the Diabetes question to account for new diabetic management options not covered by existing tickboxes and questions on the General health history page. Patients can now also be treated using additional treatments (e.g semaglutide injections eg. Ozempic, Wegovy). To allow patients to enter these Episoft have added a new tickbox labelled 'Other treatment' which when ticked also displays a mandatory 'please specify *' field to ensure the patient enters the particular treatment they are receiving.
Mental health Forms - the Depression / low mood and Anxiety subquestion wording on mental health family history section has been amended to be clearer to Patients (EM-7380 - Helpdesk ticket # 34124)
Episoft have made a universal change to amend the wording of two questions on the 'Recent Experiences of Mental health' section of the Mental Health forms only to make the scale for describing depression or anxiety clearer to patients. The changes are as follows:
Bug Fixes
Admin Portal Users can now reliably offer multiple maternity PAC appointments at the same time and day for the same facility (EM-4924)
A bug fix has been implemented that allows hospital users to configure multiple rosters for different users at the Maternity facility, i.e a hospital can now offer multiple PAC appointment booking slots for two or more clinicians.
Patient Payment actions and popups were still present after the Admission Date and allowed the patients to pay after their admission date (EM-5857 and EM-7411 - Helpdesk ticket #24439)
The action popups, dollar ($) icon and action dashboard on epi-me all still contained links for the patient to make payment after their date of admission. This has now been amended so patients are not able to pay for their admission gap or provide a token after their date of admission, all links to the actions no longer display and the links to the financial form pages are read-only.
Maternity Appointments module - Roster Management - the 'Day of week' filter is removed after a search is performed (EM-6487)
The roster management screen for Maternity appointments had a bug whereby after a user searched using the parameters, the day of the week filter would reset and not remember the previous selection. This has now been fixed.
IFC and payments report - not showing results for facilities with Mental health admissions (EM-6599)
A bug fix has been enacted to display results for Mental health admissions on the IFC and Payments report.
Maternity Appointments - Ability for staff to book a different PAC appointment timeslot for each facility (EM-6745 and EM-6753 - Helpdesk ticket #22090)
Previously, the epi-me Maternity appointments module did not allow staff/admin portal users to reconfigure the appointments for the Maternity module once they had been set up. This has now been fixed. In addition, different facilities can now book PAC appointment times of differing durations e.g 30 minutes long at one facility and 45 minutes long at another.
MRN gets removed when an admission is Unsubmitted (EM-7204)
Episoft have made a change to the way MRN/UR numbers are updated when a form is unsubmitted by a staff/admin portal user. Previously, they were removed entirely but this has caused issues for downstream systems when the PAS has not reassigned them correctly or at the right time. As such they will stay assigned to each eAdmission until they are updated via a message from the PAS.
IFC and Payments report has duplicate auto-closed records for Admissions (EM-7262 - Helpdesk ticket # 33992)
A fix has been implemented to remove erroneous duplicate entries for patient admissions on the IFC and payment report that were showing as auto-closed in addition to their actual status.
Please contact help@episoft.com.au if you would like any of these features activated in your epi-me portal.
