INTERFACE CHANGES

Amendment of how 'Other' entitlement cards are exported to Intersystem's TrakCare (Helpdesk #33385, EM-6586)

A number of changes were made to the PID-3 segment of the ADT^A28 and A31 HL7 messages that are used to create or update patient records in TrakCare. In summary:

1. Health Care card details have been added

Syntax for addition of Health Care cards:

All Other Cards are to be sent (in single or repeating PID segments):
  • PID 3.1 - Card Number
  • PID3.4 -AUSHIC (DEFAULT IDENTIFIER)
  • PID3.5 - Card type (HC = HealthCare card)
  • PID3.8 - Card expiry in form YYYYMMDD (e.g 20240531)
Sample of Health Care card data in the HL7 message:

PID - 405637371^^^AUSHIC^HC^^^20240531

2. Added business rule to send the longest valid entitlement card when both Health Care and Commonwealth Seniors cards are entered for the one patient i.e meaning if a patient has a Health Care card with an expiry of 12/12/24 and a Commonwealth Seniors Card of 11/11/24, send the Health Care card only

3. Populate an expiry date for Safety Net cards (Entitlement + Concession type versions) based on the end of year in which the admission is taking place eg. if the patient submits their admission 30/7/24 send expiry of 31/12/24 - in format of 20241231

BUG FIXES:

PATIENT PORTAL

Manual IFC page and PDF - Amend Insurance Notes field to make if more legible (EM-7906 and EM-7987)

At the request of one of our customers using the Manual staff entered IFC page, the Insurance notes field on the Manual IFC page and the associated PDF printout was right aligned and very hard to read for patients and staff when more than a sentence or significant detail was entered.
