2024/10/29- Release Notes epi-me (eAdmissions)
NEW FEATURES:
PATIENT PORTAL
Increase rate of coded allergies on Custom Allergies and Medications page by checking for exact text match in uncoded/free text grid (EM-8234)
In a detailed review of patient allergy selection and further review of patient-entered uncoded allergies it was found that patients are quite often typing in their allergy that is an exact match to a coded allergy but they’re still not selecting it from the list so it ends up not coded. To account for this we have made a change to perform a check on the exact text of a patient entered allergy in the uncoded/free text allergies grid, is there is an exact text match it is added to the coded grid and available for EMR integration.
ADMIN PORTAL
New mapped version of HC21 Including admission date (EM-7004)
We have configured and mapped a new version of the National Claim Form to include the patient's admission date as per the standard HC21/NCF form in use nationally.
New QR codes able to be configured on epi-me System generated forms (EM-7279)
At the request of one of our customers EpiSoft have developed the means to add configurable QR codes with all patient details coded when an MRN /UR Number and Episode/Visit number is assigned. These display on system generated documents within the portal and can be configured for customers on request to align with different scanning software.
New Dynamic text items above each grid on the CustomSAH Allergies and Medications page (EM-8264)
EpiSoft have added two new dynamic text items 106 and 107 on the custom allergies and medications page that appear above each grid for coded and uncoded allergies respectively, please note that this page is used only by select hospital customers. Dynamic text item 106 allows hospital customers using the page to dynamically amend the text description above the coded allergy grid for patients and dynamic text 107 allows hospital customers using the page to dynamically amend the text description above the uncoded allergy grid on the page.
BUG FIXES:
ADMIN PORTAL
Bug on the allergies grids for staff users of CustomSAH Allergies and Medications page (EM-8269)
EpiSoft have fixed on the custom allergies and medications page that allows for coded and uncoded allergies, this page is used only by select hospital customers. The bug was that there was an error on the 'Add allergy' grid which did not return the section when selected and whilst it did not impact patients, the staff users could not enter any allergies on the patients' behalf. This issue has now been fixed.
Result of Penetration testing: Use of historic Jquery version updated from 3.4.1 to 3.5.1 (EM-8247)
It was identified by one of our customers that there was a low level cybersecurity risk by epi-me using of a historic JQuery version. JQuery 3.4.1 which has a vulnerability has now been updated to 3.5.1.
