NEW FEATURES:
ADMIN PORTAL
Enhancements to Appointment Module for Future Appointment types (EM-4393)
As part of our ongoing enhancements and preparing for future use of the appointments module for epi-me customers beyond it's current use for Maternity patients, EpiSoft have made some general enhancements to the module. Staff/caregivers are now able to roster Sessions/Classes anytime relative to the admission date, including:
Amendment to the 'Admission Report (Partially Completed)' to include the Current page the patient is up to (EM-8120) (Helpdesk ticket # 33310)
At the request of one of our customers we have implemented a change to the Admission Report (Partially Completed) to include the page the patient is up to on their forms. This will allow hospital customers to see which are the key pages that patients are having issues with and to see how far patients are typically getting up to in their forms when they stop.
PATIENT PORTAL
Enhancements to the PAS-generated Informed Financial Consent and Payments process to be more configurable for customers including new dynamic text and new event (EM-7423, EM-7859, EM-7877, EM-7872 and EM-7718)
As part of an enhancement project for the Informed Financial consent and payments workflow for customers with a PAS generated IFC we have made a number of enhancements to the IFC page.
Amendment of IFC and Payments wording to remove 'Ex. GST' Wording (EM-7587) (Helpdesk ticket # 35630)
The IFC and Payments page has been amended to remove the wording regarding ex. GST. As it is no longer applicable.
Amendment to 'Payment Incomplete' Event to allow hospital customers to send based on form (EM-7866)
The Payment incomplete event has been enhanced to allow hospital customers to filter the event based on a ‘Form' DDL/filter i.e for General, Maternity or Paediatric form is configurable for the ‘Payment incomplete’ event (including an ‘All’ option as per current function on other Events).'
New Form Configuration - Default Maternity reason for Admission of 'Childbirth' (EM-5433)
EpiSoft have implemented a new form configuration labelled ADMISSION_DETAILS_DEFAULT_MATERNITY_REASON_AS_CHILDBIRTH' (default False) which when true fills the reason for admission field for Maternity admission to ‘Childbirth’ and makes the field read-only so it cannot be edited. This is to ensure that for our customers using the configuration the PAS has a consistent reason for admission for Maternity patients, and one that is more patient friendly than 'Confinement'. Note: This Form Configuration cannot be set to True if ADMISSION_DETAILS_DEFAULT_MATERNITY_REASON_AS_CONFINEMENT is set to True. They are mutually exclusive.
New hint text on address lookups throughout portal (EM-6612) (Helpdesk ticket # 33174)
Episoft have implemented some hint text small font underneath the ‘address’/addressify lookup field for all addressify search fields on the portal, which includes patient main and postal addresses, next of kind addresses and other addresses throughout the portal i.e of insurer for third party claim types. Labelled: “Start typing the address in this field. When address appears, select it from the dropdown list.” This is to help patients know the address is a lookup function and look up their address effectively.
New label at the bottom of the Medication grid directing patients (EM-8118) (Helpdesk ticket # 36013)
At the request of one of our customers EpiSoft have added hint text at the bottom of the Medication grid on the Allergies and Medications page to direct patient clearly to the grid to enter each medication. This is especially helpful for patients entering their eAdmission on a mobile phone as they can see on screen that each medication needs to be added to the grid using the button at the top. The label reads: 'For each medication, click "Add medication" at the top of this grid to create a new row before selecting "Save and Continue”
BUG FIXES
Fix to remove invalid GPs from patient admissions on copy forward (EM-7560 a= Helpdesk ticket # 34131)
A fix has been applied to remove invalid/no longer active GPs in epi-me from the GP search list, and specifically on patient forms where they were copied forward in error. Inactive / invalid GPs can no longer be selected in the list and patients who have selected them on previous admissions are unable to select them agin or have the invalid GP data copy forward on to subsequent admissions.
Declined/Cancelled eReferrals in Admin/Caregiver worklist not showing with red icon (EM-3633)
EpiSoft have fixed a minor display issue on the referrer worklist whereby eReferrals declined / Cancelled by the hospital had an icon denoting their processing priority (i.e orange, yellow or blue) rather than red because they had been declined. This now shows consistently and is easier for staff to see at a glance the status of these referrals in addition to the status filters.
First name and surname of Referring Doctor in 'Patient Details Report (PAS additional fields for data entry)' report (EM-6890) (Helpdesk ticket # 33599)
EpiSoft has fixed a bug whereby the referring doctor's surname was displaying twice (in the first and surname) field in the Patient Details Report (PAS additional fields for data entry). It now displays referring doctor first and surnames.
Fix to page numbers on the PDF (EM-7612) (Helpdesk ticket #35532)
We have fixed an error whereby the page numbers on the Epi-me generated PDFs were not displaying correctly.
Issue with Issue with iOS apostrophe issue in doctor Search (EM-8121) (Helpdesk ticket #35923)
EpiSoft have fixed an issue whereby IOS devices like IPADS and iPhones of a certain IOS versions had an apostrophe which caused issues when entering it in the search field for Admitting Doctor or GP.

- Firstly, the eSignature of the IFC and HC21/NCF is a standalone first step of the process, this is to promote uptake of patients eSigning their IFC who are reticent for whatever reason to pay their gap online or enter their payment details for automatic charging.
- Secondly, the payment preference buttons are hidden until the IFC and HC21 have been eSigned and the payment preferences are now more configurable. Each can be set differently by hospital customer and facility so if the epi-me customer doesn't want to give patients the option to opt out of paying their gap they can disable the 'No payment now' button. This can also be configured differently at each facility if needed.
- Thirdly we've implemented a new dynamic text item (104) for patients with no gap to allow hospital customers to configure more specific text for patients without a gap. For patients with a gap specific instructions on the page can be edited using the existing dynamic text item (80).
- Finally there is a new event 'Payment preference pending reminder' which triggers a reminder to patients at a configurable day ahead of their admission date to prompt them to login and set their payment preference. This has been added as an extra step to account for patients who have eSigned their IFC and HC21 but have not yet selected their payment preference / chosen a button. They are not yet directed to the payment page but are still on the first page and asked to select their payment preference.
- In addition a new admission worklist status displays the amended process and allows staff/caregivers to see where the patient is up to in the Financial preadmission process with ' Payment Preference pending' showing patients in the above category
