NEW FEATURES

PATIENT PORTAL

Increase rate of coded allergies on Standard Allergies and Medications pages (Adult & Paediatric) by checking for exact text match to a known allergy (EM-7905 and EM-8423)

In a detailed review of patient allergy selection and further review of patient-entered uncoded allergies it was found that patients are quite often typing in their allergy that is an exact match to a coded allergy but they’re still not selecting it from the list so it ends up not coded. To correct this and improve the coded allergy rate, we have made a change to perform a check on the exact text of a patient entered allergy. If there is an exact text match it is added to the coded grid and available for EMR integration.

Patient Portal SMS Validation Codes - Patient and User names removed from SMS content, and validation codes repositioned to front of SMS (EM-6489, Helpdesk #26487)

Two customers have requested this change which has been applied globally for all customers.

To strengthen privacy protections, patient and user names have now been removed from the automated SMS messages which are sent to Patient Portal users for events like registering with the portal, eSigning forms and resetting passwords.

In addition, the validation code itself has been repositioned to the front of the image so that it is more easily visible on mobile phone notification trays (when the notification 'pops up' on your mobile as the SMS is received).

This is a sample of what the SMS now looks like for the example of Patient Portal registration:

123456 is your validation code for Account Registration for EpiDemo Hospital Group

Health History PDF - clarification of alcohol consumption frequency (EM-8161, Helpdesk #36422)

To provide better context for healthcare provider staff, the text "per day" has been appended to the "Standard drinks" field in the Health History PDF. This ensures clear communication regarding the frequency of alcohol consumption.

Sex at Birth - can now be hidden on Patient Portal as a portal configuration (EM-7896, Helpdesk #35874)

In response to patient feedback since the rollout of Gender Identity collection, "Sex at Birth" can be now masked on the Patient Portal subject to a customer-specific configuration. Patients will only see this information if they print their eAdmission documents. Activating this configuration change may also impact the visibility of "Sex at Birth" in the Admin and Referrer Portal views but does not affect its inclusion in the PDFs.

Health History page 1 (Adult & Paediatric) - "Insulin pump" has now been added as an second example of a diabetic monitoring device (EM-7892, Helpdesk #35898)

One customer's Diabetic Clinical Nurse Coordinator has raised that certain insulin pumps can have a drug-drug reaction with paracetamol and hence healthcare providers need to know what insulin pumps a patient is using.

For customers using the TRUE setting of the Form Configurations HISTORY_CVD_DIABETES_ADDITIONAL_DETAILS (Adult + Paediatric) and HISTORY_CVD_DIABETES_ADDITIONAL_DETAILS_SUMMARY_Q_PAGE (Adult only).

The question about how a patient's diabetes is monitored is now relabelled "Please specify how your diabetes is monitored eg. name of your Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGMS) or insulin pump *"

ADMIN PORTAL

New Report to track the Regular GP and Referring Dr details of particular eAdmissions (EM-7666, Helpdesk #17946)

Customer marketing teams want to track the regular / family GPs and the referring doctors (if different) who are referring their inpatients to their healthcare facilities. This is recorded as the Regular GP and Referring Dr, respectively, on the GP Details page of the eAdmission

NOTE The Referring Dr functionality only appears when the Form Configuration GP_DETAILS_INCLUDE_OTHER_REFERRER is TRUE.

This report is the first of two (see second below) that provides this business intelligence. This report lists all eAdmissions within a date range and shows which Regular GP (if any) and Referring Dr (if different) the patient recorded.

NOTE! Only the first top 200 results will be returned.

It only shows eAdmissions with at least the first half (Admission Form / Patient Registration) submitted and can be filtered by any combination of the following parameters:

- Admission Date

- Dr Code (this is used to synchronise the GP or Dr with the customer's GP Directory)

- Dr Surname and First Name

- Practice Code (note this is optional depending on the customer's GP Directory)

- Practice Name

- Facility

The report can also be exported to .CSV for further, offline analysis.

New Report to track the count of eAdmissions by Regular GP and Referring Dr (EM-7667, Helpdesk #17946)

Further to the above, this is the second of two reports to provide customer marketing teams with referral source information.

This second report provides a count of eAdmissions by Regular GP and Referring Dr which shows marketing teams how frequently a GP / Dr is involved in the referral pathway to the customer.

NOTE! Only the first top 200 results will be returned.

The report can also be exported to .CSV for further, offline analysis.

BUG FIXES

PATIENT PORTAL

(SVHA only) Privacy Collection Statement - patient portal accountholder name was appearing in the consent instead of patient's name (EM-7155, Helpdesk #33322)

This has now been fixed. The patient's name now always prints in the name of the person giving consent, and if the patient is not the Patient Portal accountholder than the latter appears in the eSignature field as a substitute decision maker.

In reviewing this issue it was also determined the Relationship of the patient - accountholder was not appearing. This now reads "Carer" if the patient is NOT the accountholder, and blank otherwise.
