When 'Different Identity' is configured in the customer portal, it will display a free text field labelled 'Please specify' to allow the patient to write in their own gender identity.

INTERFACE CHANGES (Specific IPM-PAS Customer ONLY)

Enhancement to outbound IPM export with insurance policy start and finish dates (EM-8338 - Helpdesk ticket # 36580)

EpiSoft have enhanced the outbound Admission export message for an IPM customer to ensure patient's admissions within IPM always have valid insurance dates for upcoming admissions. The change is that every A28 and and A31 is sent with the following:
  • IN1-12 should contain the date one month prior to the admission date in the format YYYYMMDD i.e 20241118 - i.e Admission date of 15/10/24 should populate the 15/09/24 or if no equivalent date closest to e.g 31/10/24 goes to 30/09/24 (or the last date of the previous month if easier
  • IN1-13 should contain the date three months after the admission date in the format YYYYMMDD i.e 20241118 - i.e Admission date of 15/10/24 should populate the 15/01/25 or if no equivalent date closest to e.g 31/01/25

Enhancement to outbound IPM export for A28 and A31 outbound messages - Mapping of Next of Kin title fields to obviate data entry for Hospital staff (EM-8564 and EM-8906 - Helpdesk ticket # 36787)

For one of our hospital customers using IPM as their PAS, EpiSoft have enhanced our outbound export to pre-fill the sex of the Next of Kin or Emergency Contact to automate a field that the hospital staff were previously entering manually.
The relevant field in the HL7 A28 and A31 is NK1-15. NK1 repeats up to twice to encode the Emergency Contact and Health Fund Contributor information, respectively.

Duplication of MFN^M02 Messages across multiple Hospitals/Facilities for IPM customers (EM-8908)

For select IPM customers, EpiSoft have created a process to duplicate and apply the MFN^M02 HL7 update messages for a single facility, across multiple facilities within the same hospital group. This allows a single export to update all hospitals within the same method.
