2018/12/04 Release Notes (Admin)
Multi-clinician appointments and visits
EpiSoft now supports ability to set mutliple clinicians on the same appointment. This is at the request of one of our new public hospital clients. To enable an org for multi-clinician set this up in System Administration >> Organisation preference.
See screenshots below for detail
All clinicians is a new parameter for selection on the Appointment Letter template (in Org preferences page) and also the My Appointments list will show the detail of the additional clinicians.
Billing new validation check
To prevent sending of claims being sent for a site that isn't configured for billing, there is a new validation check on claim submission to prevent this occurring
Billing - new reconciliation options in Org Preferences
At the moment, claims reconcile based on the processing reports received but for Eclipse claims and Bulk Bill also to a lesser extent, the payment records come later (a long time later for hospital claims) and don't contain enough information to pay off the line items on the account. This is why we have used the Processing Report for this purpose.
The org preference to reconcile on payment records is enabled in beta for a single site testing for IMC and IHC claims only (with bulk bill to be added later). Please DO NOT set these organisation preferences without first contacting EpiSoft.
You will be provided access to a new ERA report called ERA report (for manual reconciliation) this will have a button to click to access the billing services - it will apportion the amounts from the amount for that account as a 'best guess' but you will need to check and finalise. Once done, the actual benefit paid amount and date will be allocated in accordance with the data set via the interactive report.
EpISoft will be in contact with the CFO requesting this function.
Provider number fix on invoice - see below
Calendar page - new quick links
HL7 message import
We have done a number of back end changes to our HL7 import to support acknowledgements from a folder drop for some messaging vendors that require this (message imports from Healthlink).
Patient merge - last updated
Dropdown lists now typeahead on patient edit pages
It was pointed out that we have typeahead on many dropdown lists in the system but the Edit patient page still had standard Dropdown lists that did not support this. All dropdowns on the patient page including on the custom demographic forms for Reset Life, Hospital Booking Wizard and Add Patient via message import.
User preference for additional sites
The appointment list and other views defaults to the user's primary site/location. Under user preferences you can now set which sites will show by default on the appointment list. Site is now a multi-select dropdown list on the appointment management page to support this preference setting which you can also set ad hoc. However if you want visibility of multiple sites by default, go to System Administration >> User Preferences and set your preferred sites.
New integration options
We now support a demographic file and referrer file upload as a CSV file. This is for sites that do not have an HL7 feed for this data or to support initial data migrations.
Letter parameters
We have changed the letter module to include selection of the visit at the top of the main page in case you want data from the selected visit rather than the latest visit. You can now include the visit notes from a selected visit as a parameter in the letter.
New reports
S10 for outpatient reporting to Vic Health
Protocol appointments by service setting - request to add new columns was not met with acceptance by some of the sites using this report so we now have 2 x reports - one containing additional detail (health fund member number, cycle number, day number) and one without.
Access for staff with visit reason and type of "not available"
If a user was set to not being able to view this information for privacy reasons, they could not edit the appointment - now a user can edit an appointment with visit reason and type access not visible.
