2019/07/12 Release Notes (Clinical)

Today's Weight

Changes to ‘Today’s Weight’ field on the Visit Record form
When a user is entering clinical information on the Visit Record form, it is now possible enter a patient’s ‘Today’s Weight’ regardless of whether or not the ‘Dosing Weight’ has been recorded.

Enter Today's Weight on Nursing Assessment
We have also enabled Today’s Weight to be entered either via the Nursing Assessment or via the Visit Record form.
Once entered on one form, Today's Weight will automatically display on the other form.
The Nursing Assessment form will also display the Dosing Weight (current weight), Height and Baseline Weight in read-only form as useful information for the nurse.

Today's Weight now on the Weight Graph
The Weight graph now displays both the Dosing Weight (current weight) and Today's Weight (not affecting dose) so that a comparison can easily be made between the two.

Changes to the alerts on Weight change >10%
As part of this change, we have reviewed all the weight based alerts and the system will provide additional alerts when the recorded weight changes.

If the difference between the dosing weight and the baseline weight greater than 10%, a red exclamation mark will display with hover text to say '10% weight change from baseline'
If the difference between the Today's weight and Dosing Weight is greater than 10%, a red exclamation mark will display with hover text to say '10% weight change from Dosing weight'
The Flow chart will now display Today's Weight beneath the Dosing Weight. The alerts on weight change will also display on the Flow Chart.

Additions to ‘Drug Administration’ page:

A patient’s ‘Height’ and ‘Baseline Weight’ are now visible on the Drug Administration page, as well as the ‘Edit Protocol’ page, when first opening the page.

Changes to Drug Chart Auto Refresh:
The auto-refresh was previously refreshing every drug individually which was causing excessive loads on the Episoft servers. We have modified the auto-refresh function to now refresh the whole drug chart at the same time instead of each drug individually. This has been done to improve the overall performance of CareZone

Cannulation Report
In the Cannulation Report, the search fields ‘Location’, ‘Doctor’ & ‘Cannulator’ have now had a default option of ‘All’ added to the search criteria. This feature has been included to help users consolidate the data they require across an entire organisation’s list of sites, doctors and nurses.

Addition to the Flow Chart:
‘Today’s weight’ which is recorded on the Nursing Assessment form has now been added to the Flow Chart.

Changes to Protocol Administration:

When creating a protocol or editing an existing protocol in Protocol Administration, on the Medication steps, you can now move medications up and down the list to the order required instead of needing to re-add them if a drug is added out of order. There are large arrows to move a medication to the top or bottom of the list, and small arrows for moving just one place higher or lower at a time.

Edit Protocol - Reorder Additional Medications
Users now have the ability to move (Reorder) ADDED medications on the ‘Edit Protocol’ page.

Order of Display of Medications on Pharmacy Orders
The Pharmacy Orders print out will now display medications in the same order as they appear on the ‘Edit Protocol’ page.

Drug Administration Chart does not currently display patient Clinical Summary:
A patient’s ‘Clinical Summary’ is now visible once a drug chart has been completed.

Pharmacy Orders – Cycle Signature failing to show colour
An issue was identified where all protocol teardrop icons on the ‘Pharmacy Orders’ page appeared ‘green’ regardless of the status of the protocol. This issue has now been resolved . All protocol icons which appear on the Pharmacy Orders page will now appear ‘Orange’ (the same as all of the other pages) if the cycle has been left un-signed and green if it's been signed.

To be included in a future release - Pharmacists will also be able to see which user signed the cycle (to be included in future release)

New addition to Nursing Assessment
A tick-box titled ‘Show obs from all visits’ has also been added, which will allow users to view observations recorded for that particular visit, as well as any obs recorded for all previous visits

Changes to the ‘Visit Record’ form – Defer/Omit/Cease

The ‘Step’s drop-down-list’ is now blank by default. This is to ensure the user will have to select the correct step from the drop-down-list. As a further safety measure, when a user changes their selection of 'Defer', 'Omit' or 'Cease' the steps list will now automatically revert back to a BLANK option to force the user to select the correct step from the ‘Steps’ drop-down-list.

Addition to ‘Cannulation Report’:
A new column has been added to the report where users can record the particular ‘vein’ which the caregiver inserted the cannula.

Trailing zeroes removed from all read-only doses
If the dose does not have any amount after the decimal, it will display as a full dose without trailing zeroes. e.g. instead of Dexamethasone 4.00 mg it will now display as Dexamethasone 4 mg.
