When creating a new patient record, the Surname and First name fields will be automatically capitalised. This change has only been applied to the Main CareZone system. If your organisation has a customised ‘New/Edit Patient’ page, then this change may not apply

Patient TimeLine’ page failing to render PDF documents in Google Chrome:
It is important to note that this issue was only identified in the internet browser Google Chrome, and will only affect the users who are running CareZone from this internet browser. PDF documents now render and open as expected within the ‘Patient Timeline’ module.

Patient Merge Error:
There was an issue identified in the Patient Merge function that was affecting the merging of patient’s that had letters sent from their patient file which were stored in the ‘Referrals / Correspondence module. This issue has now been resolved.

Letters to Sign/Send’
A patient’s demographic details are now visible at the top of their letters on the ‘Letter to Sign/Send page.

Type C Certificate Issue
An issue was raised in the billing module that involved Type C certificate’s which have been recorded on a visit being carried forward which caused them to appear on inpatient accounts for future visits. Although the certificates were not actually attached to the visit, it was stamped (visible) on a patient’s billing account.

Changes to the ‘Messages’ folder
We have changed the filter on the ‘Messages’ page so that the search results now return a maximum of 200 results. Restricting the search results to 200 messages has been implemented to improve the overall system performance. The ‘Tasks’ module is yet to be optimised in this way, however all of the other worklists involving a record count in the main menu have this same restriction applied.

Report Changes: ‘Protocol Appointment by Service Setting (Additional Detail)
A new column of ‘Primary Clinician’ has been added to the report ‘Protocol Appointment by Service Setting (Additional Detail)’.

Type C certificate not wrapping on HC21 printout
An issue was identified in the billing module where if a user entered an extended response in the ‘Details’ field of the ‘Certificate Information’ section, the text was failing to correct wrap on the PDF print out on the relevant billing documents. This issue has now been resolved and all of the information entered is clearly visible on the PDF print out

Additions to ‘Referrer Management’ page
When recording a new referrer record, a new field titled ‘Comments’ has been added so that users can include helpful notes for other staff to view. The comment is visible in a new column titled ‘Comments’, which has also been included on the page. If a comment has been left, users will be able to view the comment by clicking on the small, new icon visible as a ‘page with magnifying glass’.

Addition to ‘Referrer’s page within ‘Referrals / Correspondence’
If a note has been recorded in the ‘Comment’s field in the ‘Referrer Management’ module, it is now visible in the patient record within the ‘Referrer tab’ in the ‘Referrals / Correspondence’ module.

Bug in ‘Letters to Sign/Send’ resolved
If a letter was created within a patient file which contained the data element ‘Principal Diagnosis’, it would populate in the letter as expected, although if the letter as then viewed within the ‘Letters to Sign/Send’ module, the data element would not be visible. This issue has now been resolved.

Waitlist – Patient Hyperlink
The hyperlink connected to the patient’s name (which appears Green) has been fixed so that when users click the patient’s name, they will be re-directed to that patient’s Record Summary.

Changes to Drug Chart Auto Refresh:
The auto-refresh was previously refreshing every drug individually which was causing excessive loads on the Episoft servers. We have modified the auto-refresh function to now refresh the whole drug chart at the same time instead of each drug individually. This has been done to improve the overall performance of CareZone
Cannulation Report
For the Cannulation Report, the search fields ‘Location’, ‘Doctor’ & ‘Cannulator’ have now had a default option of ‘All’ added to the search criteria. This feature has been included to help users consolidate the data they require across an entire organisation’s list of sites, doctors and nurses

Changes to appointment ‘status’ on the ‘Appointment Management’ page
Users are now able to revert a patient’s appointment status from ‘Arrived’ back to ‘Booked’.

Patient Timeline Error:
Users identified an ‘error’ message that was received when opening a patient timeline for any new patient. This issue has now been resolved.

Letter Writing Module:
The Letter Writing module has been upgraded to resolve formatting issues which we have been alerted to. User will now see no difference in formatting between a letter sitting in ‘Drafts’ when compared to the PDF print out which is generated when the letter is sent manually or faxed. This upgrade has also improved the ‘Numbering’ feature which allows users to create a numbering list without experiencing formatting issues.

Additions to ‘Drug Administration’ page:
A patient’s ‘Height’ and ‘Baseline Weight’ are now visible on the Drug Administration page, as well as the ‘Edit Protocol’ page.

Patient Record creation audit trail:

The date of creation, as well as the name of the user who created the patient/client record has now been included on the patient record. This information is visible on the ‘Edit Patient’ page

Changes to the main menu to improve system performance:
For all modules which display a record count, including ‘Results Pending’, ‘Tasks’, ‘Booking Requests’, ‘Letters to Sign/Send’, ‘Unsigned Medications’ and ‘eReferrals Pending’, we have removed all visual counts from the main menu (except Booking Requests) and replaced them with a bolded exclamation mark.

Add New Referral Functionality
To streamline the administration process involved in adding a new patient referral, a new button has been added to the patient Record Summary sub-menu.

This new future has been designed so that users are able to search for the referring doctor’s using minimal clicks by displaying a list of current referrers for the patients, as well as defaulting to the patients recorded ‘Primary Referrer’. Depending on the referrer selected, the referral information will appear pre-populated.

Addition To Appointment Calendar

We have added a new ‘Daily Note’ feature above the appointment calendar page where admin staff can record useful notes and information visible to all staff members. A small ‘Pencil’ icon has been added which users can click to record helpful information that can be made visible for a single data, a date range or an indefinite time period. These notes will be stamped

Statement of Claim Benefit – Issue with Doctor’s provider Number
There was an issue identified where a doctor’s primary provider number is recorded on the Statement of Claim Benefit form instead of the correct provider number for the location which the doctor is billing from. This issue has now been resolved.

Changes to VINAH Reporting:
VINAH reporting required the addition of a dropdown list to indicate the treatment stream and another dropdown list to indicate the outcome of the referral for all patient episodes of care. These dropdown lists should only be visible if the active user's organisation is VINAH enabled.
